At The Farmington Company, our goal is to help you design a suite of voluntary benefits that meets the unique and varied needs of you and your employees. That’s why we offer a variety of products from the nation’s leading insurance carriers. Voluntary products can be funded through the convenience of payroll deductions, and a number of them are portable if an employee leaves or retires.
We currently offer the following voluntary products:
Life Insurance
Provides financial security for employees and their families. Many employees appreciate the extra security of additional life insurance coverage. We offer a number of term and permanent life policies (universal and whole) from the nation’s leading carriers. In addition, many of these policies offer living benefits, such as Long Term Care riders.
Disability Insurance (Short Term Disability/Long Term Disability)
Offers additional financial security for employees who are unable to work due to a covered illness or injury. These plans generally provide a portion of an employee’s salary for a specified period of time to help them pay their bills.
Critical Illness Insurance
Helps employees and their families avoid financial hardship related to a major illness by filling the gaps left by traditional health insurance, such as copays, deductibles and non-medical costs associated with treating a critical illness. These policies typically pay full or partial benefits when a patient is diagnosed with a covered condition, such as a heart attack, stroke and renal failure. Because early detection is so important, plans may include a wellness benefit to help employees pay for covered screening exams.
Cancer Insurance
Helps those diagnosed with cancer and their families avoid financial hardship. These policies generally pay benefits for direct costs (e.g., surgical procedures, inpatient hospital stays), as well as indirect costs (e.g., transportation and lodging expenses). Because early detection of cancer is so important, plans may include a wellness benefit to help employees pay for covered screening exams.
Accident Insurance
Provides additional funds for employees and their families in the event of an accidental injury. It helps fill the gaps left by traditional medical insurance such as copays and deductibles by providing benefits for such expenses as emergency room treatment, inpatient hospital stays and physical therapy.
Long Term Care Insurance
Provides benefits to help cover the costs of long term care, such as a nursing home, assisted living facility or home-based care.
Limited Medical Plans
Helps employers offer affordable medical coverage to employees who may not be eligible for the traditional medical insurance. Plans generally include benefits for medical expenses, such as doctor visits, hospital stays and prescription drugs.
Hospital Indemnity Plan
Helps fill the gaps left by traditional medical insurance by paying a daily benefit in the event of hospitalization.
Legal Services
Provides access to attorneys, will preparation and many other legal services at no cost or at discounted fees.
Identity Theft Protection Plan
Helps victims pay for the costs and uncertainties associated with restoring their identity and repairing their credit, including lost wages, phone bills, notary costs, and certified mailing costs.
Pet Insurance
Helps pet owners manage veterinary expenses from a routine checkup to an emergency situation.
Auto & Home Insurance
Provides competitive quotes, often leveraged by a group’s purchasing power and the advantage of payroll deduction.
Voluntary Dental Insurance
Offers a cost-effective solution to combat the rising costs of dental care. Services are often provided through a network of participating dentists, and premiums can generally be paid through payroll deductions.
Voluntary Vision Insurance
Helps employers provide vision coverage to their employees with minimal impact to their budget. Voluntary vision plans typically offer a variety of copays and discounts through a network of vision providers.
Computer Purchase Program
Assists employees in purchasing a home computer for their family. Typically, these programs offer easy qualification without a credit check, and payments can be made through convenient payroll deductions.
